From February 25 to 28, 2026, the "Panda 100 Wushu Carnival & 2026 Inaugural Heroes' Summit," themed Martial Rhythm, Forging Ahead, was held at Guo'an First City in Xianghe, Hebei. More than two hundred wushu masters, intangible-heritage inheritors, and honored guests gathered for the occasion. Among those invited was Linda Liang (Liang Chunxiu), a Canada-based wealth advisor and president of the Canada International Science, Education & Innovation Exchange Association, who received the "Panda 100 Wushu Ambassador" Practice Certificate at the closing ceremony.
The summit was hosted by the Asia-Pacific Regional Center of China International Communications Group, co-organized by Guo'an First City (Beijing) and Wulin Zhi (Beijing), and supported by Zhaohua Publishing House. Over four days, overseas promoters of Chinese wushu from Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, and beyond joined masters of various domestic schools to perform, exchange views, and explore how Chinese martial arts can be carried forward around the world.
In its official tribute, the organizers honored the overseas promoters who had traveled great distances to attend:
From a childhood of practice in Cangzhou, a famed martial-arts hometown in Hebei, to teaching wushu across the ocean in Toronto, and now to national-level recognition as a "Panda 100 Wushu Ambassador," Linda Liang's journey in martial arts spans decades β and this certification writes a new footnote to her long-standing work in promoting Chinese martial arts abroad.
It was the first of two heavyweight recognitions she received in 2026. The following September, she won two gold medals and one bronze at the 2026 World Wushu Open Championships in Silicon Valley β building bridges between Canada and China as a cultural envoy while proving her mettle on the competitive world stage, two paths that meet remarkably in one person.
On a road of friendship forged through martial arts and hearts alike, the calling card of overseas Chinese wushu grows ever brighter in her hands.
